This part of my journey is called "Holidays in Trichy"

This is my second mainstream blog. Its about my journey to the end of PhD. My journey to a PhD begins this fall at Purdue University. I had only applied for a masters program but since the professor with whom I worked with last summer recommended my profile to the graduate committee at Purdue I got into their direct PhD program. My passion lies in automobiles, I have been passionate about them since my father bought a Hyundai Santro when I was in my 3rd grade. I always wanted to know more about them since then, but a real opportunity came to me when I got a privilege to start up a Automobile society ( Torque ) during my undergrad. I learnt a lot about cars and auto industry through various activity through Torque. I now hope that my interest, my passion and my academics through a PhD coalesce perfectly to help me achieve my life goals.

I have not been preparing for graduate school that well in the past 2 months. Basically I have been enjoying the well earned vacation just after finishing four long and hard-working years at an IIT. I have been reading a couple of PhD blogs now and then and all the material I read till now is making me super scared .I'll just ignore all the advice form dropped out PhD candidates as of now and try to concentrate on my positives and move on. I have to be ready in a couple of months. I know the journey ahead is a long hard one, but I think I just know the secret to travelling on the path. Although I am damn sure that the journey will be a memorable one!
